We won’t know for sure until Friday, September 7th 2012.
That’s the day that the specific November 2012 – BALLOT LANGUAGE is due in the Eagle County Clerk and Recorders office from these registered Eagle County Taxing Authorities.
What we do know (so far) is the list of Taxing Authorities that have formally asked Eagle County Clerk and Recorders office to reserve space for their November 2012 Ballot Question.
They are:
1- Eagle River Fire Protection District – they definitely want a Property Tax increase. Affected voters/property owners (Camp Hale, Tennessee Pass, Redcliff, Minturn, Avon, Eagle-Vail, Mountain Star, Wildridge, Bachelor Gulch, Arrowhead, Homestead, Edwards, Lake Creek, Singletree, Pilgrim Downs, Cordillera, Bellyache Ridge, Red Sky Ranch and the portions of I-70, Hwy 6 & 24) communities.
2 – Town of Vail
3 – Town of Avon
4 – Town of Basalt and Rural Fire Protection District
It is possible both Avon and Vail may have (some sort of?) Town Charter Ballot question that may not directly effect the Taxes you pay each year. We need to see their Ballot Language, first.
