Early risers last Saturday morning were greeted with clear sky and a clear view of the Lunar Eclipse in our western sky – just before dawn.
Did you know that the Earth is closest to the Sun on January 3rd due to the Earth’s Elliptical orbit? Kepler (1630) is given credit for laying the Mathematical basis for each Planet’s orbit in our Solar System – Elliptical orbit around the Sun, that is. Each Planet’s orbit also has the distinction of carving out equal geometric areas in equal time.
