When the ECT reported last week (Click Here) that ‘Henry’ – Vail Ski Patrol’s Avalanche Rescue Dog – had his own HUT named after Henry – on the Top of Vail Mountain – we didn’t know Henry also had is own Vail Mountain – EpicMix Ski Pin as well.
That’s one might popular canine in the ECT’s book.
Also reported last week the men and women of this years U.S. Ski Team are off to an especially good start…with lots of Podium finishes.
Elway’s Steak house in Vail is also off to a good start – however that restaurant’s namesake didn’t have enough pull with the Downtown Athletic Club in New York City. Turns out the Steak House’s Quarterback (who played for Stanford University in College) didn’t have enough pull to get the current Stanford Quarterback (Andrew Luck) a Heisman Trophy last Saturday nite. The Heisman instead went to an outstanding Junior year Quarterback from Baylor University in Waco, Texas – Robert Griffin III.
Don’t look now Richard Carnes – because Baylor is one of Texas’s top “Christian” Universities. For another look-see at how this outstanding quarterback plays…tune into the Alamo Bowl on Thursday evening, December 29th 2011 – when Baylor plays the U of Washington.
And speaking of Christian Quarterbacks, Richard – the Bronco’s favorite found a way to win (again) late in the 4th quarter against the Chicago Bears this past weekend.
It seems (for whatever the reason) the Deity is smiling on God fearing Quarterbacks this past weekend.
Meanwhile – back in Beaver Creek…
Beaver Creek Resort learned last week that they did submit a winning bid – for a finishing stage for the upcoming USA Pro Cycling Race – August 24th 2012 (Click Here). Those bike races are a lot of fun watching provided you don’t have to blink – when the racers speed by the place you’re watching the race from. Luckily the Bike Racers start that day in Aspen, over Independence Pass, Leadville, Minturn, Eagle Vail and then Finish in Beaver Creek.
