St. Patrick’s in Minturn had their Annual Thanksgiving dinner last Sunday evening.
Led by St. Patrick’s new Parish Priest – Fr. Jim Baird, everyone in attendance had a traditional Turkey meal and the start of some good Holiday cheer.
It brought together all walks of folks – Minturn seniors, Parishioners, local Students and their families, newcomers to our Community and happy hungry folks in general.
The ECT folks can think of several things to be thankful for this November 2013
– Vail opened last week and Beaver Creek opens on Wednesday this week with much more SNOW on the ground than at this time – last year.
– Thanks to voters in the first week of November – the Income Taxes and Property Tax we all currently pay – won’t be any higher than last year. Thankfully our Public School District is running a budget surplus this year – as they learn (like the rest of us) to get along with what they have…
None of Eagle County’s Private Schools have had to close due to a lack of Students.
The rate of home foreclosures in Eagle County is down a lot from the last few years as local families adapt to today’s economy.
Local luminaries? Can you find Photo Journalist Connie Knight? Jim Lamont and his Mrs.? Fr. Jim Baird? The proud Mom of Eagle County’s newest Eagle Scouts?
