International Skiing Competition – from the folks who beat the Russian Army!

Tired of all these “over commercialized” ski/snowboard competition and races?

Well here is an International Ski Competition (4th Annual) brought to you by the folks who beat the Russian Army during the 1980’s.

The Afghan Ski Challenge is held annually in Banyam outside of Kabul, Afghanistan.  Bring your Passport and the $500.00 entry fee they charge foreigners.  Don’t worry about the cost of the ski lift ticket, there isn’t a ski lift.  You carry your own ski equipment up to ~11,000ft where you’ll find the Ski Race Starting Line.
